WIN! Frank on DVD

WIN! Porky's Limited Edition Blu-Ray Steelbook!

Diegesis have 2 copies of seminal 80s teen sex comedy Porky's in limited edition Blu-Ray Steelbook packaging to give away, courtesy of Arrow Films! Out this week, this will mark the first time that Porky’s will be made available on the Blu-ray format in the UK.

Long before American Pie, an age ahead of Superbad, there came Porky’s, a seminal ’80s comedy high school sex-romp which defined the VHS generation and arguably went on to become more than just a full-frontal pioneer of the adolescent sex farce. A national embarrassment, a rite of passage, a rebuke of racial discrimination and a crudely accurate portrayal of high school life—director Bob Clark’s 1982 classic is all this and more.

To enter, head over to our Facebook page and "like" and share the Porky's competition post or retweet the competition link on Twitter then email us at: mail@diegesismagazine.com with "Porky's competition" in the subject line to add your name to the draw. Good luck!

Oscars 2014 competition

With the Oscars a month away, we want to know who you think will win in six of the main categories:

Best Picture
Best Director
Best Actor
Best Actress
Best Supporting Actor
Best Support Actress

We've got a DVD bundle to give away to the person with the most correct answers (we'll democratically pull it out of the hat if there's a tie). We're also interested in who you think should win - but your vote is for who you think will win.

UK 15+ only (sorry!!) But our friends outside the UK can still join in with the voting!!

Enter via our Facebook page or by emailing us via the "Contact" tab!

Southampton Film Week 2013

Some of you will remember last year's "not-so-secret-cinema" screening of Labyrinth as part of Southampton Film Week 2012 to celebrate our CUT TO [magic] issue. This year, we have two exciting events to look forward to: a review writing competition exclusively for college and sixth form students and a screening of Innerspace to celebrate the publication of issue 6 CUT TO [space]. Both are free to join in! See the flyers below or contact us via the contact page if you have any queries. We'll be buzzing about them on our Facebook page and Twitter feed so seek us out to get regular updates. Free tickets for the screening will be bookable on the Southampton Film Week website.
